I met Allan in 1965 when we arrived at the same time for our first day at senior school in Harrogate. We quickly became good friends and stayed in touch for almost 60 years.
I have many fond and happy memories of Allan both in work, play and general leisure modes, especially via the Braford property Forum ,which he chaired so well for a number of years.

I last met Allan probably the best part of 60 years ago. There was a long standing family friendship between our parents. Amazingly I can still recognise him from the earlier photos. The later photos just say to me that he looked like a really kind & fun guy. Strength to all those who miss him. J

We got to know Allen through Claire and was happy she’d found such a kind, generous, welcoming and funny man. We’ve many happy memories of walking, eating, camping and drinking together.
We feel privileged to have known Allan he was a wonderful person, great company, a positive person to be around and certainly made the most of life.
